Position: Product Marketing Director
Overview: As a key member of the GreenSky "go-to-market" ecosystem, the Product Marketing Director will be responsible for being the charter member of a formal Product Marketing function. In order to ensure that the company can maintain high double digit growth rates, we must be keenly driven to know our customers, understand the problems they face and how they find solutions, all with the intent of creating great value propositions and messaging to deliver revenue. The person in this critical role will very often be market facing in deep partnership with product management, marketing communications, training functions, and sales. The goal is to bring the customer perspective and customer experience to the forefront and develop sales enablement tools and messaging that resonates with the customers in such a way that they very clearly understand the value that our solutions can bring to their organization.
Specific responsibilities include collaborating with aforementioned roles across the organization in order to develop Product Marketing plans and content. This individual must see to the proper execution of plans and constantly make adjustments/improvements as customers react to our value propositions, the market and competition changes around us, and key trends create opportunities or risks.

Travel: Up to 10% as needed
Organization: This position reports to the SVP Product.
Key responsibilities include:
*Market intelligence: Serves as the voice-of-customer/market to Marketing Communications, Product Management, UX/UI, Training and Sales with regard to product messaging, competitive positioning, go-to-market needs. Needs to be an expert on buyers, how they buy and their buying criteria; be an expert on competition.
*Value Proposition Creation: Clearly define expected results in the customer context, the clear-cut benefits of utilizing our solution, define the value to the customer, and define the best ways for merchants to leverage the solution to increase sales and close deals.
*Messaging: Develop product messaging and positioning that differentiates products in the market based on the most up-to-date trends in-market. Effectively communicate these elements to marketing communications, product management, training and sales to ensure alignment in go-to-market and demand generation strategies.
*Sales enablement: Communicate the value proposition of the products to the sales team and develop the sales tools that support the selling process.
*Product/Solution launch: Initiates market research, analysis, and planning associated with the launch of new products. Works with Marketing Communications to develop marketing and promotional plans, and marketing materials such as Data Sheets, Brochures, Customer Presentations, Competitive Analysis, and other assets.
Experience and Skills:
*7-10+ years in a B2B or B2B2C Product Marketing role in a complex business environment
*Must have an understanding of Product Marketing, Marketing Planning, Product Management,
*Marketing Communication, and the infrastructure and tools necessary to support these activities
*Bachelor's degree in marketing or similar field required; M.B.A. preferred or equivalent business experience
*Excellent written and verbal skills with sensitivity to diversity of audiences including internal and external groups of varying buyer and user persona types
*Experience in financial services and/or financial technologies highly preferred
*Experience working closely with user experience teams preferred
*Ability to develop effective working relationships with peers, managers, and senior management within and across organizational lines
*Strong project management and delivery skills required
*Strategic and innovative thinking with ability to develop and understand financial and economic scenarios
Undergraduate degree in Marketing or related field required with a preference toward specialization in technical and/or financial services fields. Master’s degree preferred.
Other: Self starter willing to put in the hours necessary to excel.
