The Product Manager is responsible for assisting in increasing the profitability of existing products and aid in developing new products for the company. This individual will build products from existing ideas, and help to develop new ideas based on their experience and represent the voice and needs of TriNet customers, prospects and partners. In addition, the Product Manager must possess a unique blend of business and technical savvy; a big-picture vision, and the drive to make that vision a reality. This position will shape the direction of the product by working closely with the assigned teams based on feedback that is identified, captured and prioritized.
- Develop product strategies and plans to drive usage and user satisfaction.
- Assist in translating business goals and objectives into concrete strategy and tactical plan.
- Identify and evaluate potential partner relationships for new products.
- Evaluate opportunities to bring new and innovative products to internal and external clients.
- Collaborate with development partners to identify, implement and manage product features and technical feasibility.
- Create detailed and comprehensive product requirement and statement of work documents.
- Manage the entire product line life cycle from strategic planning to tactical activities.
- Evaluate and specify market requirements for current and future products by conducting market research supported by on-going discussions with internal clients and client facing teams to gather feedback.
- Manage product forecasting and budgetary issues.
- Provide input/justification for product costs and budget impact.
- Determine success metrics for each product.
- Other projects and responsibilities may be added at the manager's discretion.
Experience:
- 3-5 years of product management experience
- Experience in successfully managing large, complex projects.
- Experience with Software Development Lifecycle methodologies.
- Experience working directly with stakeholders in the management and delivery of projects.
- Proven success in leveraging strong communication skills to drive results while creating an environment of open and timely communication.
- Strong experience in managing risks and driving teams to develop appropriate mitigation strategies.
- Strong experience with the reporting and management of project schedule, financials.
- Previous people management or team lead experience with the ability to mentor and coach project team members.
