2U is changing the way great students and great universities think about digital education.  In order to do this, 2U has a dedicated TechDev office in New York City which produces all of the cloud-based services our university clients use. The Product Manager will support an agile software development team focused on our Marketing Systems used by the 2U Marketing Tech team as well as prospective students. Within the cross-functional team, this position will have a direct impact in all aspects of the product development lifecycle from research and design through release and ongoing feedback. This is an opportunity to help shape how 2U marketing sites are produced and delivered to potential graduate students, ultimately driving enrollments.

On the Marketing Systems team this individual will work closely with persons across roles in user experience, engineering, and product management. They will own relationships with stakeholders on the 2U Marketing team and other 2U Departments. As a member of the product management organization they will be responsible for the area’s roadmap, prioritization of initiatives, steady state maintenance and contributing to the larger vision of the content product suite. This person will serve the critical role of being a business expert who will leverage their understanding of the prospective students experience, as well as 2U Marketing Team’s supporting processes, in order to contribute to the the future of 2U’s Marketing systems.


Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To

  • Being the product champion on 2U Marketing Systems
  • Conduct market, competitive product  and user research
  • Consolidating input from business stakeholders and working with Engineering and Admin teams to drive superior outcomes
  • Build and maintain prioritized product roadmap
  • Creating and communicating vision for assigned product across the team and the organization
  • Guiding products throughout the full software development lifecycle in Agile environment
  • Develop, track and report on product KPIs

Things That Should Be in Your Background

  • At least 4 years experience in a Product Management role
  • Experience working in an Agile environment
  • Demonstrated experience managing roadmaps (at least on an annual cycle basis), understanding of roadmap cycle
  • Candidates who possess both higher education/higher education technology and product management backgrounds are highly encouraged to apply
  • Knowledge and experience in Marketing
  • Ability to work in a dynamic and flexible environment with a start-up culture
  • Ability to travel as needed, up to 25%
