Driving Privledges

The Product Manager is responsible for championing the success of a specific product(s) throughout the entire lifecycle of the product. The Product Manager interacts with customers to determine their needs, assists in product feature design and development, and collaborates with marketing around product messaging and delivery. The Product Manager identifies and determines the order of feature development based on product knowledge, customer interaction and market demand.

Daily Job Functions – What’s in your GPS?

Be part of the team who manages the entire product life cycle from strategic planning to tactical activitiesSpecifying market requirements for current and future products by conducting market research supported by on-going visits to customers and non-customers.

Prioritize backlog of functional and non-functional requirements.

Build products from existing ideas, and help to develop new ideas based on industry experience and contact with customers and prospects.

Driving a solution set across development teams (primarily Development/Engineering, and Marketing Communications) through market requirements and positioning.

Developing and implementing a company-wide go-to-market plan, working with all departments to execute.

Analyzing potential partner relationships for the product.


Knowledge & Skills – What’s Under the Hood?

Possess a unique blend of business and technical savvy; a big picture vision, and the drive to make that vision a reality.

5+ years of software product management experience

Pragmatic Marketing training a plus.

Demonstrated experience with agile development processes with frequent release cycles

Proven track record for product delivery and demonstrated ability to provide hands-on product management

Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively within all areas of the company.

Possess product strategy and marketing skills, business planning, business case development, and user insight

Proven analytical skills and data-driven decision making ability to solve problems

Ability to translate market findings into new product/enhancement ideas

Entrepreneurial drive and demonstrated ability to excel in a fast pace innovative environment

Requires 25% travel to customer and non-customer sites in North America and Canada.
