JOB DESCRIPTION

Vlocity is looking for a design-savvy product leader to manage the Vlocity Health Digital Portals, which are part of the Vlocity Health suite of capabilities. Vlocity's Health applications are 100% native and additive to the Salesforce platform and all of them can be configured without code. The Vlocity Digital Portals are a complete set of business modules and features that ensure health plans build and sell insurance products to customers in the B2B and B2C market. Vlocity Digital Portals can be deployed on Salesforce.com Communities, Salesforce.com Sites, Heroku, and other web platforms. The Digital Portals include solutions for:

  • Producers (Brokers & Agents) - The Vlocity Digital Portal for Producers delivers sales, setup, and service functionality through a customizable portal to external channel partners, enabling them to self-sell and self-serve members and groups. For onboarding, this module helps qualify and appoint new agents more efficiently. For selling, brokers can access group information and product holdings, create new quotes, complete applications, submit documentation, and monitor the status of in-process applications. This module helps agents generate new business quotes as well as close renewals faster. For service, the portal presents member and group-level benefits and guides the user through account and product service transactions. This module empowers brokers to help their clients and reduces the cost of service for the health plan. This module leverages the same data integration and transactional capabilities used in the Vlocity Marketplace, Benefits Renewals, Benefits Onboarding, Document Management, and Contact Center modules.
  • Plan Sponsors (Employers & Groups) - The Vlocity Digital Portal for Plan Sponsors delivers sales, setup, and service functionality through a customizable portal to external small and large groups, enabling them to self-sell and self-serve. For shopping, employers can access their account information and product holdings, create new quotes, complete applications, submit documentation, and monitor the status of in-process applications. This module also works for managing annual renewals. For service, the portal presents member and group-level benefits and guides users through account and product service transactions. This module leverages the same data integration and transactional capabilities used in the Vlocity Benefits Marketplace, Benefits Renewals, Benefits Onboarding, Document Management, and Contact Center Modules.
  • Consumers (Prospects & Members) - The Vlocity Digital Portal for Consumers delivers sales, setup, and service functionality through a customizable portal to external members and prospects, enabling them to self-sell and self-serve. For shopping, prospects and members can create new quotes, complete applications, submit documentation, and monitor the status of in-process applications. This module also works for managing annual renewals. For service, prospects and members can access benefit information, as well as guidance through benefit service transactions. This module empowers members to resolve their own issues before they submit a help ticket, reducing the cost of service for the health plan. This module leverages the same data integration and transactional capabilities used in the Vlocity Benefits Marketplace, Benefits Renewals, Benefits Onboarding, and Contact Center modules.
  • Providers (Doctors and Care Providers) - The Vlocity Digital Portal for Providers delivers sales, setup, and service functionality through a customizable portal to external care delivery partners, enabling them to self-onboard and self-serve themselves, and the members they support. For onboarding, this module helps qualify and appoint new providers more efficiently. For service, the portal enables providers to perform eligibility checks, preauthorizations, submit and manage claims, manage billing, and much more This module empowers providers to help their patients and reduces the cost of service for the health plan. This module leverages the same data integration and transactional capabilities used in the Vlocity Benefits Catalog, Benefits Onboarding, Contract Management, Contact Center, Network Management, and Formulary Management modules.

As a product manager, you'll re-envision and digitize all interactions that can be performed on a digital portal or mobile application. Our industry-specific software consolidates, replaces, and improves front and middle office point solutions for payers to achieve greater customer experiences at lower costs of serving.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Collaborate with customers, prospects, sales teams, solution architects, and partner teams to define the solution architecture required to implement best practice cases. Document requirements for required Vlocity product changes or data model extensions. Work with our implementation experts to develop delivery assets (e.g. presentations, white papers, technical guides) to support Vlocity service teams and partners in strategic delivery projects.

Lead stand-up meetings with design and engineering teams as required that incorporate Agile product development techniques. Work with design and engineering teams to plan, organize and deliver product releases on-time. This includes product specifications, QA test plans, and release documentation.

Work closely with client services to understand customer needs. You will be embedded as needed to do architectural and UI reviews and gather complex feedback and will manage communications with the customer team for the design and status of any product enhancements that stem from customer implementations.

Become a deep expert on Salesforce/Salesforce Community functionality. The more you know about how Salesforce works and where its limits are, the more effective you are at creating specs for features that are built on Salesforce.

Research competitive product offerings and identify ways to differentiate our solution. Create compelling product demonstrations and useful collateral.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Success as a Product Owner in an agile development process
  • Track record of bringing multiple quality products to market or into production.
  • Stellar academic background (Bachelor or equivalent required, MBA preferred)
  • 5+ years of professional experience, including 5 years with health/insurance applications
  • Excellent design skills - both UX and visual
  • Technical chops to take declarative tools and build solutions
  • A deep understanding of Salesforce
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills
  • Highly organized and can work independently and with a team
  • Enjoys the challenges and opportunities of a startup, and thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Has a track record of success at a software vendor, system integrator or IT shop
  • Experience working at or with large health insurance companies
  • US Work Permit Required
