DUTIES: Under close supervision of the sector leadership, assist in defining strategic objectives and vectors of differentiation for each valve product. Research market conditions globally for highly engineered valves to determine attractiveness within target markets. Gather information on competitive valves in target markets. Translate strategy for new products in target markets into actionable items for product development, sales, marketing, training. Coordinate with supply chain, engineering and sales to facilitate new product development. Collect and analyze data to identify new initiatives to support valve product growth. Develop business cases to assist management in final decision making concerning target costs, pricing, margins, and valve product features. Provide technical input for valve development in target markets. Define product enhancements for target markets and define market priorities. Forecast and track marketing sale trends. Assist with R&D and product development plans. Work on life cycle product management. Work with the cross functional teams to drive initiatives.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, or in a closely related or equivalent field. 3 years of experience as project engineer managing the product lifecycle for industrial highly-engineered valve products. Experience to include: 3 years of project management experience for highly-engineered valve products; 3 years of industrial valve and pump engineering experience; 3 years of industrial valve and pump manufacturing experience; 2 years of experience designing and developing valves for power generation; and, 2 years of experience working with internal and external customers to provide commercial solutions.
