We are currently looking for a Product Manager, Flow Cytometry at Beckman Coulter Life Science to drive the growth and profitability of our clinical cytometer and flow cytometry analysis software portfolio. The Product Manager will use market knowledge and a deep understanding of customer needs to drive development of new products and to manage the product life cycle of released products. The successful candidate will have knowledge of the cytometry market and importantly, key cytometry analysis and algorithms to drive market share gains. He/she will have experience in marketing and/or product management in the life science field.
Responsibilities:• Manage the clinical flow cytometer and analysis software portfolio.• Maintain deep understanding of the market, customers, competitors, and technologies to provide market segmentation and analysis.• Develop overall product strategy and execute it by launching new products and managing existing products for growth.• Drive product line revenue growth and operating profit. Define, deliver, and communicate the value of our products to support the global sales organization• Position the business for success within targeted applications segments and drive share gain through creation of key marketing content.• Communicate clearly with tactical marketing teams to ensure successful and efficient execution of marketing campaigns in alignment with campaign strategies.• Participate in cross-functional teams for product development, product commercialization and/or market analysis
Qualifications:• A strong background in the life sciences, preferably cytometry.• A minimum of a BS/BA degree with 9 years of experience or MS degree with 7 years of experience or a Ph.D. with 5 years of experience. MBA desirable. Experience in marketing and/or product management in the life scientific markets is required. Sales experience is a plus.• Analytical individual with experience in product positioning, marketing sizing, and segmentation.• Ability to translate and convincingly communicate data into actionable information.• Excellent discussion, facilitation and listening skills• Talent for leading cross functional teams across multiple locations• Ability to create and execute a defined and focused course of action.• A progressive, creative thinker, with analytical and problem solving skills, and the ability to integrate best practices• Ability to travel up to 30% of the time
