As subject matter expert, a Digital Watch Product Manager defines new products and features, develops strategic roadmaps, and details requirements to ensure products are delivered to meet our clients needs and grow Nielsen's business. This role will specifically focus on Nielsen's digital brand lift products.


  • Define new product concepts, and new features for a product

  • Gather and analyze feedback from sales, marketing, and most importantly clients to define requirements within a cohesive product roadmap

  • Partner closely with Tech Strategy, Tech Delivery and engineering to work efficiently within infrastructure and operational constraints, while identifying areas for improvement in efficiency

  • Write product and business requirements documents to clearly articulate product features

  • Create business cases and return on investment analyses for new features; weighing what clients “ask for” vs “what is best for Nielsen and the overall product strategy”

  • Collaborate with Tech Strategy to manage scope and resolve issues with Tech Delivery to meet requirements

  • Develop subject matter expertise in product domain including but not limited to; industry expertise, technical implementation, operational process, competitive analysis.

  • Support product marketing and sales as the product domain expert

  • Through partnership with sales and client service, identify opportunities for the development of competitive offerings and external vendor relationships

  • Maintain overall oversight of driving the product forward, “shipping on time” to maintain a competitive edge and provide value to our clients




  • 2+ years of product exposure and/or client product management, preferably in advertising, digital marketing, or technology

  • Excellent quantitative reasoning skills; ability to quickly resolve and understand issues with large data sets

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; experience presenting and interacting with management and clients

  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment

  • Ability to manage and build relationships with clients and external parties to understand product features and requirements

  • Understanding of the digital advertising industry and advertising operations

  • Research or development experience on a data analysis or measurement product is a plus

  • Project finance and business analysis experience is a plus Knowledge of SQL, Python, or other data analysis tools is a plus

  • Demonstrated capabilities to manage both technical and non-technical staff
