Description

                      

The
Manager of Diffuser Innovation helps identify white space and product performance
improvement opportunities within the Home Fragrance Diffusion category.  Translating these opportunities into
strategies that deliver sales and profit growth by managing the concept
creation and commercialization of new product launches, analyzing consumer
insights to support key brand and/or strategic initiatives, and maintaining an
strong understanding of the external marketplace in home fragrance diffusion

 

RESPONSIBILIES:

-Commercializing
new products specific to product/functional objectives, with a focus on
fragrance performance.  Help create packaging
objectives and design brief, product prototype evaluation versus objectives,
and packaging prototyping evaluation.

-Demonstrate
strong curiosity about new technology & products that could have
application to products to fragrance the home.

-Partners
in architecting the Brand assortment to include: sub-brand positioning and
identifying key competitors; identify new products and re-stages, developing
communication and training for both internal and external customers.

-Create
& maintain Project Initiation Forms to inform Commercialization partners
and start the product development process.

-Actively
participates in self-career development through On-Boarding Program and
Development Planning process.

-May
serve as a resource and mentor to new associates

relationship with cross functional partners to enhance the product development
process

-Conduct
category-specific patterning, specifically: selection of competitors, and
product related patterning including positioning, sizing, pricing, etc. 

Qualifications

  • ·        
    6-8
    years of work experience required, with 3+ years in Retail, Beauty or CPG brand
    management or product development
  • ·        
    Experience
    patterning of competitors and marketplace, sees the opportunities, and an
    ability to turn ideas into recommendations quickly
  • ·        
    Balance
    of creativity and conceptual thinking with analytical and project management
    skills
  • ·        
    Flexibility
    and agility in managing complex deliverables in a fast-paced retail environment

    Strong
    track record of flawless commercialization execution
  • ·        
    Demonstrated
    ability to anticipate commercialization challenges, problem solve and follow
    through with increasingly minimal guidance required
  • ·        
    Demonstrated
    aptitude for strategic and creative merchandising skills, including design and
    fragrance evaluation
  • ·        
    Demonstrated
    ability to collaborate with and increasingly influence cross-functional
    partners
  • ·        
    Demonstrated
    knowledge of retail fundamentals, with increasing ability to translate into
    business strategies
  • ·        
    Strong
    team and interpersonal skills

 

EDUCATION:

  • ·        
    BS/BA
    degree in Marketing or related field; MBA preferred
