Commercial Lines Product Manager

As Commercial Lines Product Manager, you will manage and grow your area of business with profit and loss responsibility for your assigned area. In this role, you will help us execute on our ambitious agenda going forward as we make the exciting transformation to become a multi-line insurer for small businesses. Handling the product management for multiple states, you'll lead product development, rate revision and pricing support. You'll develop and lead a comprehensive strategy that positions our products to meet our clients' needs, builds company revenue and outperforms competitors. This role gives you the chance to gain general management experience by overseeing analysts and/or product specialists while working closely with various internal groups to ensure the strategic development and profitable growth of your states.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Product management in our Commercial Lines group which includes insurance products for small business vehicles such as trucks, vans and trailers
  • Set the strategy and lead execution for your state(s) which includes understanding the nuances of your state(s) such as regulatory and legislative complexities
  • Maintain knowledge of local competitive dynamics which can vary between states
  • Collaborate with the field sales teams and claims organization to review processes and continue finding ways to enhance competitiveness
  • Work closely with external stakeholders such as independent agents, regulators and lobbyists/trade organizations

Must have qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, Math/Actuarial Science or related field (Statistics), or a Bachelor's degree and experience analyzing and interpreting quantitative data to draw conclusions and make recommendations based on that data
  • Five years property casualty insurance experience or related experience (analytical work in a professional setting)
