Phishline, now a part of Barracuda Networks, is seeking a highly motivated Product Manager, based in Campbell, CA, to take the lead in crafting and implementing strategy for taking the PhishLine solution, and related solutions, to the enterprise customer market. While this mandate is simple, the work will be challenging and extensive creativity will be required to succeed.  This is cross-functional role that will assume ownership for marketing email security and security awareness focused product lines encompassing a variety of technologies.

Candidates must be self-starters with the ability to maintain a high level of productivity with a minimum of supervision.  Barracuda Networks, PhishLine’s parent company, is located in Silicon Valley and work closely with resources located there.  This position will also use contracted resources, which could be located anywhere.  This means that being able to effectively manage remote resources is a critical requirement of this role.

By working closely with the Core product management teams, you will create compelling market positioning that aligns with the product. You will also be responsible for creating persuasive sales initiatives and campaigns ranging from cloud-connected messaging to vertical market solutions. As well as developing collateral from concept to publishing, we are looking for a dedicated marketer who possesses strong execution skills and enjoys being part of a team.

You must be comfortable working with multiple stakeholders and remote teams across the company to drive new product launches and take these to market. You must have an entrepreneurial spark to identify new opportunities to grow the business. Finally, you must be a great communicator capable of engaging customers and partners and evangelizing your product.

Desired skills and experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or global equivalent in a engineering, business or technology field… or equivalent work experience.
  • 2-4 years of related experience in industry or technology solution product management for a technology company
  • Experience with security, cloud, or email/messaging technologies is a big plus
  • Experience working with a large reseller / partner network is a big plus
  • Excellent communication skills; experience presenting to a wide audience from senior management to buying influencers\
  • Adept at working with cross-functional teams and managing without authority
  • High attention to detail and superior multi-tasking abilities
  • Self-starting and self-directed
  • Strong critical thinking and analytical skills
  • Able to participate effectively in fast moving discussions and negotiate compromises that enable all sides to achieve measurable success and shared risk
  • Knowledge of the security awareness marketplace specifically and the security marketplace in general
  • An instinctive drive to provide excellent customer service
  • Manage your tasks and projects using the assigned tools in a manner that is consistent and understandable to your peers and to your manager
  • Strong MS Office skills: Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; proficient with WebEx
  • This position will require up to 15% travel for conferences and corporate events
