Key Responsibilities:
Meet Financial Objectives:
Responsible for the P&L of Baseline Sensors product line
Assess and understand our current markets and business practices, especially those that are under served or poorly performing, and uncover gaps and opportunities for sales growth
Support Engineering/Stage-Gate Process:
Initiate, write and support business cases for new Baseline Sensor product developments
Gather voice-of-customer and market intelligence globally
Write customer requirements and document customer personas for new products
Collaborate with engineering to ensure product design, quality and profitability goals are met.
Oversee alpha/beta testing of new products
Successfully launch new products
Support Sales & Marketing:
Marketing:
Collaborate closely with the Regional Sales & Marketing teams to develop effective marketing campaigns
Work with Mar Com to ensure marketing content is delivered with sound technical value propositions
Support global marketing planning activities, including trade shows, ads and online activity selections with the Regional Sales & Marketing teams
Lead the development of marketing and commercialization plans for new products and existing product enhancements
Position products and develop the story that Mar Com can use to effectively market our products
Understand customer needs, industry requirements, product value in market, and competitive positioning
Sales:
Develop customer & market insights, and report these out regularly to sales and leadership; including size of market/segment/channel & detailed competitive information and market trending information
Develop and execute go-to-market strategies with Sales Leaders and channel partners
Develop, implement, and monitor distribution and pricing strategies
Conduct product training and develop product knowledge in our sales channels
Think Strategically:
Provide overall product road map priorities, implementation plan, and costs to senior leadership
Manage the product life cycle for the assigned product families in the Baseline product line
Look at holistic price-value positioning of product portfolio when creating road maps
Position Requirements:
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, Business or related field.
10+ years of Product Management experience required; preferably with a B2B or manufacturing company. Experience working in a global instrumentation business serving industrial markets is preferred.
MBA preferred.
