Function Overview

We are currently seeking a Global Information Systems (GIS) Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) Lead Analyst to join us at our global headquarters in the beautiful lakeside community of St. Joseph/ Benton Harbor, MI - home to some of top schools in the state and nestled alongside picturesque Lake Michigan.

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Accountable to deliver global IT projects, leading PLM capabilities within Global Product Organization (GPO)  

  • Interact with process and solution architects, developers, data migration specialists and business partners to understand business process and requirements across GPO functional teams for prioritized enterprise projects

  • Work closely with GIS leadership to make sure that the scope and priorities are driven per our roadmap as well as other functions for support and alignment

  • Drive priorities and business value creation as part of the transformational projects and initiatives

  • Partner with global technology teams to deliver solutions aligned with Whirlpool Enterprise PLM strategy

  • Be a trusted partner and subject matter expert for technical capabilities required in GPO

  • Evaluate short and long-term technology solutions and service providers for capabilities and support needed

  • Facilitating and leading process mapping, data collection, process learning and continuous improvements

  • Configure PLM system in adherence to business requirements, system administration, customizations etc

  • Support PLM activities for Part/ BOM creation, releases, changes and maintenance, Document Control Operations, Engineering Change Notices, and all other related PLM efforts

  • Participate in the ongoing assessment and optimization of PML/ PDM processes, systems, tools and data

  • Create and maintain detailed business requirements in alignment with PLM projects roadmap

  • Leading problem solving teams and driving activities that enhances business outcomes

  • Some domestic and international travel will be required

 

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering  or related fields

  • 8+ years of  experience working in Product development area with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM)/ Product Data Management (PDM) solutions such as Windchill, Teamcenter, Solidworks or Enovia

  • Experience in design, modeling and surfacing skills using Creo Parametric

  • Working knowledge of product design, product structure and processes for home appliances are a plus

  • Working knowledge of ERP and CRM systems and processes are a plus

  • Develop workflow processes, custom dashboards and support admin configuration such as security access

  • Ability to effectively communicate and work with a global teams with negotiating, and closing skills
