Position Description:

This role requires gaining a deep understanding of Decision Support's core solutions across the healthcare landscape. The knowledge needed ranges from web service integrated applications for clinical decision support as well as back-end interoperability and cloud services. Also, he/she will be interacting within NDSC and with the multi-disciplinary Software & Analytics business unit within Change Healthcare, and has responsibility for clear communication of the solutions across the network, analytics, and financial management departments. Finally, the successful candidate will collaborate efficiently and effectively with the current product management, sales and marketing teams to influence the product roadmap for new and/or enhanced functionality that solves market, regulatory, or competitive needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with leadership to update/create compelling business plans and ROI models including product definition, solution design, delivery model for Design Support offerings for both payers and providers within the healthcare IT space
  • Listens to market, customers, and internal stakeholders to translate needs into solution design artifacts (Epics) that are clear and concise. Shares artifacts with internal stakeholders for go-to market decisions and execution
  • Engage with solution / vendor partners to collaborate and design best of breed market solutions that jointly benefit Change Healthcare and partner while providing clients value
  • Tracks overall market dynamics and competitive landscape
  • Responsible for managing long term portfolio roadmaps
  • Plays role of product evangelist in the market to support Sales and Marketing, and gather Voice of the Customer feedback
  • Collaborates with Product Owners to ensure successful implementation of portfolio vision
  • Works closely with all internal departments, especially sales and marketing, over the product life cycle to ensure successful products

Minimum Requirements:

  • 5+ years prior experience in hands-on product management / product owner role in software as a service solution, preferable in healthcare information technology
  • Possess a strong technical background and able to learn & apply new topics quickly and efficiently

Critical Skills:

  • Experience with market requirements, technical and business analysis, pricing and market roll-out, and business process management / workflow management
  • Excellent writing skills, as well as the ability to communicate and collaborate effectively
  • Prior experience working in an Agile, continuous software delivery environment
  • Prior experience in integrated applications, web technologies, and electronic data interfaces
  • Solution oriented, and when issues arise, be able to roll up sleeves and tackle them
  • Must be passionate about solving problems
  • Superb communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to articulate information through PowerPoint presentations
  • Must be comfortable with public speaking and skilled in developing high quality persuasive presentations

Additional Knowledge & Skills:

  • Understanding of clinical design support or evidence-based guidelines is helpful, but not required
  • Pragmatic Marketing certification is also desirable
  • Previous experience with electronic data exchange between payer and provider preferred
  • Knowledge of artificial intelligence and robotic process automation helpful

Education / Training:

  • B.S. degree in Computer Science or related technical field preferred or relevant experience

Physical Requirements:

  • Environment – Office environment, up to 25% travelrequired.
  • Physical Requirements – Sitting, standing, walking, and using key board.
