Product Development Specialist: Lithium Ion Battery Materials
Lead polymer processing (polymer solid electrolytes) functions in support of the manufacture of Li-ion Batteries and Functional Coatings and augment existing product development programs and initiate new ones.
***Work with customers to address application specific materials requirements and develop new materials for industrial applications.
*** Perform wet chemistry and solid state synthesis of materials.
*** Synthesize inorganic material powders (mixed metal oxides, sulfides, and similar) and perform surface modification of particles.
*** Characterize materials utilizing X-ray Diffraction, Scanning Electron Microscopy, Infrared Spectroscopy, Raman Spectroscopy, and similar techniques.
*** Assist with fabrication of Lithium-ion cells and electrochemical testing.
*** Serve as subject matter expert for chemistry of Lithium-ion battery electrode, electrolyte materials, and nanoscale particles.
