Lead development and revision of company's policy forms, rate & rule manuals, guidelines for insurance products, and similar.
*** Write and update all policy language and determine forms and endorsements.
*** Maintain archive of policy forms and rate & rule manuals.
*** Develop project needs, analyses, proposals, and timelines to meet product development, filing, and training deadlines.
*** Assist reinsurers with special coverage requests. Provide coverage analysis and recommendation for rate review.
*** Provide technical input regarding new programs, additional coverage, filing issues, and pricing strategies.
*** Work with Underwriting leaders and IT team to ensure proper and systematic application of new rules, forms, and rates.
*** Confirm adherence to sound underwriting principles & standards and maintain product compliance with state insurance department statutes and regulations.
*** Manage and prepare responses in conjunction with Actuarial, Underwriting, and Compliance to objections initiated by state insurance departments.
*** Train staff members on products.
*** Present reports and recommendations to company management.
*** Maintain current knowledge of market place trends related to competitor product in the Automobile Insurance field to include mergers, acquisitions, and related issues.
