Job Summary:

Provide technical expertise and solution deployment support to customers in order to accelerate and extend their adoption of the Calero product line.

Duties and Responsibilities of the job:

  • Develop and support client specific integrations built for the Calero product line including, but not limited to, data feeds, reports, customer packages and imports
  • Work with customers and project team members throughout the development cycle including defining requirements, assisting with user acceptance testing and obtaining sign-off
  • Track code development, support issues, phone calls and email correspondence within queue management and source code repository systems
  • Compose user facing technical documentation for use by customers, implementation teams and support personnel
  • Facilitate formal and informal training workshops on the technical aspects, enhanced functionality and best practice uses of the application
  • Provide project management oversight on technical contracts
  • Provide guidance and mentoring to team members
  • Participate in after-hours customization and technical support

Education:

  • Bachelors’ degree in technology, MIS or Business Administration

Experience and Training:

  • 5+ years’ experience working in a customer facing role, preferably in the role of consulting
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience working with database objects, preferably Oracle databases

Technical Knowledge:

  • Must possess strong technical and analytical skills
  • Experience with facilitating meetings and conference calls
  • Working knowledge of common internet-based applications such as Web, Telnet, FTP and search engines. Knowledge of local area networks, servers and related TCP/IP-based services such as file sharing, printer sharing, etc. in support of guiding customers
  • Experience with installing and troubleshooting software applications
  • Basic understanding of database concepts and objects (packages, views, tables)
  • Experience with Oracle SQL and PL/SQL with the ability to demonstrate the following; simple queries, queries with sub-queries, multi-table joins, creation of procedures, functions and packages (inserts, update and delete statements)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven ability to function independently in a self-directed environment
  • Able to handle clients professionally during all interfaces and escalation levels
  • Able to coordinate with internal/external support organizations and multiple levels of management
  • Able to gauge the level of comprehension of the customer’s proficiency in using the product

Contact with Others

  • Must be able to communication effectively and persuasively with Calero engineers and developers as well as Calero management
  • Will be in contact with internal and external clients

Confidentiality:

This position will be exposed to extremely confidential information and discretion is paramount. A confidentiality, non-compete, and non-solicitation agreement will be required.

Management Responsibility

This role is seen as an individual contributor with no direct supervisory responsibilities.
