The PRODUCT Architect is a creative problem solver. Understanding how a site views across multiple digital devices is key. They must be an organized yet creative thinker with a good sense of the overall goal of a web site and then able to develop a roadmap to achieving it. Computer programming and understanding data must be second nature to the UX Architect.


The individual must be an excellent verbal and visual communicator, with the flexibility and patience to try new things while being versatile to work with C level executives. They must understand the way viewers use a particular website or mobile application and must be familiar with the latest mobile design architecture.

Responsibilities


  • Work directly with the C-Level Executives to discover project scope and gather requirements, and interface with customers to understand how best to adapt features to functional solutions.
  • Design navigation architecture and overall human interaction experience supporting desktop and mobile experiences
  • Create use cases to identify user roles and end user objectives
  • Analyze data and content to architect website sitemaps and application screen-flows
  • Conceptualize the layout of intuitive user interfaces in the form of wireframe mockups
  • Optimize the usability of existing interfaces by assessing the existing layout of data and proposing updated layouts and functionality
  • Present and justify proposed mockup solutions internally
  • Document functional requirements of proposed interface solutions
  • Maintain familiarity with the capabilities of various programming technologies (JavaScript, HTML/CSS, etc.) and their impact on development efforts, user interface possibilities, data accessibility, and compatibility across multiple versions of the same platform (web browsers, mobile OS, etc.)
  • Participate in activities throughout the complete product and service life-cycle, from building understanding and empathy, through ideation, product definition, iterative design and delivery, going-to-market, and evolution • Draw from the full spectrum of design disciplines including interaction design, service design, design research, information architecture, visual design, content design, design strategy, etc. to improve customer experiences from end to end, spanning channels, touch points, business lines, product families, customers, and industries
  • Work collaboratively with partner making disciplines such as Engineering, Product Management on framing problems, discovering insights, crafting effective strategies, articulating strong experience-centered visions, defining concepts and prototypes, and guiding iterative development of new and existing offerings across digital and real-world channels • Combine design thinking, lean methods, and agile delivery practices in support of integrated delivery, continuous learning, and strategic alignment • Use customer research to inform your design thinking and target meaningful solutions • Explore and design leveraging new capabilities such as machine / artificial intelligence, automation, and conversational experiences
  • Create flows, sketches, wireframes, prototypes and other design artifacts to define and communicate end-to-end user experiences
  • Create conceptual and interactive models based on requirements, including design briefs and user workflows • Plan and conduct usability studies to validate design assumptions and collect user feedback for enhancing a user experience
  • Perform design, development and support of existing and new products.
  • Work directly with {C-Level Execs} CEO, CSO, and GM of Product on product vision and business needs to define product requirements and product architectural solutions.
  • Analyze and document end user usability, navigation and overall user experience
  • Work with CTO and VP of Engineering to develop architectural and design principles to improve performance, capacity, and scalability of product.
  • Work with the Director of Product Development in planning and execution of new product releases.
  • Work product management, software engineering team, and AI/ML team in the solution engineering efforts.
  • Work with pre-sales and product marketing teams in solution demonstrations.
  • Maintain product roadmap and architectural standards that assure product development projects optimally align with business objectives.
  • Define product validation policies so as to deliver products that meet system and project expectations.
  • Facilitate the creation, review, and sign off of project deliverables.
  • Provide support for production escalations and problem resolution for customers.
  • Assist technical team with issues needing technical expertise or complex systems knowledge.
  • Develop broad knowledge about current and future product features.

Requirements

  • Required - Minimum 8 years of industry experience working as a Software, UX, or Product Architect practitioner.
  • Required – Experience in presentation of analytic systems, charts and graphs, preferably from the financial services (brokerage) industries
  • Required - BA/BS in Human Computer Interaction, Human Factors, Industrial Design, or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Lance: No: Required - BA/BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Required - Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills in tandem with strong leadership and collaborative skills
  • Required - Must present a portfolio of examples illustrating step-by-step solutions to project requirements
  • Required - Must be a resourceful self-starting individual capable of creating workflows conforming to the needs of the position
  • Required - Candidates must be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
  • Previous experience in the Financial Services Industry is a huge plus.
  • Previous experience with Mobile Apps is a huge plus.
