Objective

Develop and deliver the Product in line with the Product Roadmap and as agreed with the Product Program Manager.

Be the interface with the Design Authority in the definition of the technical answer to the need expressed by the Solution Director and the specific user project needs.

Responsibilities and Accountabilities

  • Develop and maintain the product architecture of on-board signalling computer equipment
  • Translate customer needs into achievable product performance requirements
  • Manage Product Requirements, Product Configuration, Change Management, and Product Delivery
  • Manage the Product Development team for internal and external developments, ensuring respect of QCD commitments
  • Ensure technical consistency and alignment with other disciplines throughout a development
  • Apply Alstom standard processes and contribute to continuous improvement efforts
  • Provide technical support to Customer Care and Tender teams
  • Organize Product Design Reviews
  • Support Make or Buy analysis and arbitration

Educational Requirements

  • BSc or MSc in Electrical Engineering/Computer Engineering/Computer Science/Software Engineering
  • 3+ years of embedded systems experience
  • 7+ years of experience in railorad/transit signaling market
  • 3+ years of system architecture development experience (SysML)

Experience

  • 10+ years in the design and development of integrated hardware and software systems
  • 5+ years working in cross functional multi-discipline development teams
  • 2+ years leading a product development team through the full product lifecycle
  • 2+ years developing product specifications, for example nominal and degraded modes, function, performance or RAMS (Reliability Availability, Maintainability and Safety)

Skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Excellent organizational and configuration management
  • Ability to generate, read and interpret user requirements

Tools

  • Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Project, Access)

Working Conditions

  • Work primarily in an office environment
  • Work at customer sites (control/computer room environment) (occasional)
