Product Account Managers are responsible for selling complex technical products and/or services through value based selling. The focus will be limited to specific solutions under BMC’s mainframe optimization portfolio and quota will be assigned based on a set territory of accounts. Other responsibilities include:
Creating new opportunities and new relationships, as well as helping grow existing relationships with clients and prospective clients. Working collaboratively with other team members and Account Managers to ensure optimal alignment to client needs; helping close sales and map out Business Value Realization will be an important element. Managing and coordinating the sales and technical team in support of the sale of the company’s solutions. Driving opportunities as a technical product expert to develop and present sales proposals and systems solutions, and close complex technical sales. Working on site with clients to develop relationships, understand their business goals and IT environments, and close sales. Traveling 25-50% if the time or as needed.

Apply judgement in evaluating and proposing recommendations to resolve issues that often require deep analysis and interpretation of data. Participates in, and may lead, cross-functional and department teams. Plans and executes tasks with very little supervision. Manages time efficiently and gets business projects completed on time and does the job right.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with a minimum of 8 years of professional experience OR advanced degree with 6 years of experiencerequired.
