Summary of Position (Job Purpose) - Major purpose and functions of the position.Responsible for the leading a team of professionals in the development, delivery and maintenance of eProcurement / Procure to Pay tools and processes including requisitions, requisition approval flow, catalog development and management, supplier on boarding, supplier compliance, contract maintenance, financial reporting and internal on-boarding. This role includes being the eProcurement authority for internal teams to include process definition, deployment, process improvement, strategy development and implementation. This position will be responsible for managing spend, vendor management, P2P processes, spend analytics and contract maintenance on over $2.0 billion of indirect spend.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities- Primary responsibilities listed in order of importanceAggressively lead and guide the development and best practices of the Ariba Procure-to-Pay platform within Dollar Tree.
Create the tools necessary to monitor and identify areas of spend with potential for sourcing to senior management and department heads on an ongoing basis.
Analyze and prioritize areas of spend, through analysis of all Financial systems to integrate into the eProcurement system, work with business owners and department Chiefs to integrate new spend into P2P system.
Direct business units in identifying and developing strategic and tactical plans for all areas of indirect procurement.
Develop the overall strategy for leveraging strategic sourcing via eProcurement tools integrated into the P2P framework.
Develop, produce and maintain measureable targets and forecasts for growing eProcurement tools and processes and maintaining automation objectives.
Responsible for the delivery of all aspects of electronic procurement on a day-to-day basis.
Identification, analysis and implementation of functional improvements and corrective actions to eProcurement that will optimize user experience and deliver maximum benefit to the organization.
Partner with eProcurement software provider to educate self and team on upcoming software upgrades. Plan and integrate new technology releases into Dollar Tree processes as needed.
Oversee the administration duties of the eProcurement system to include approval of users, suppliers and process changes and other approvals as needed.
Develop and continuously improve the management of the Purchase Orders process with business owners on a continuous basis to ensure validity and proper accrual; take necessary actions to maintain compliance.
Ensure all departments and buyers are adhering to preferred vendors and contracts to eliminate unauthorized spend.
Development of spend analytics and reporting to support the Sourcing teams identification of new opportunities.
Develop and maintain Spend database
Lead the efforts to identify, capture and manage all aspects of the contracting process within the Ariba platform.
Staff, instruct, develop and motivate a high-performing team responsible for interfacing with business owners and supplier partners.
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications - Summary of knowledge, experience and education required.10+ year experience in P2P systems management, contract management, spend analytics and/or other relative operational experience.
BA/BS or equivalent experience.
Strong managerial and leadership skills.
