Purchasing Power one of Atlanta’s fastest growing e-retailers is seeking a Manager of Procurement & Contracts to join our team in Atlanta, GA. In this newly created role, the selected candidate will beresponsible for managing corporate procurement and operationalcontracts. This role requires coordination of efforts among all levels including but not limited to business units, legal and senior management. In this role, you must understand business needs, propose solutions, negotiatecontract terms and ensure compliance with legal andfinancialexpectations.

Job Details – What you’ll do

  • Develop the scope and specifications for corporate wide procurement process
  • Develop business strategies and leverage knowledge in leading contract reviews/negotiations with external vendors to generate savings and mitigate risk
  • Lead and manage the operational RFI, RFQ, and RFP process
  • Monitor contract compliance and terminations
  • Effectively manage existing contracts and contract renewal processes, including working with Technology, on the renewal of license and support agreements
  • Report on spending performance and adherence to budget
  • Guide and assist internal business units through the procurement process and contracting experience
  • Draw upon your knowledge and experience of contracting and procurement process to drive pricing, payment terms, volume discounts, limits of liability, indemnification, risk of loss, and other legal and business terms/requirements
  • Ensure all contracts and agreement terms are consistent with corporate guidelines, policies, code of ethics and comply with business unit objectives
  • Establish and maintain a records retention and disposal process for contracts.
  • Provide creative, cost effective contract solutions that meet the organization's business, technological, and financial needs
  • Ensure documentation of all current processes, changes, and new processes developed are updated timely and accurately
  • Ensure all deliverables adhere to department quality and delivery standards
  • Recognize and communicate financial implications of business decisions and strategy
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Desired Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in business related field, masterspreferred
  • 3+ years developing and maintaining a contract management process
  • 3+ years running operational procurement in an organization
  • 5 – 10 years’ experience with procurement and contract management, preferred
  • Experience with SAP/Concur PO, Invoice, Expense and Travel modules, preferred
  • Automation experience via VBA, Access Databaseutilization, etc., preferred
  • Ability to weigh and evaluate advantages and risks of alternative contract positions including pricing and other terms
  • Ability to simultaneously maintain a customer-focused approach while protecting and maintain the best interests of the company
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Excellent detail, organizational skills as well as conflict resolution and analytical skills
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and thrive in an on-demand environment.
