Manages Procurement Agent employees performing activities related to committing company resources to purchase goods and services, developing supplier strategies, development of bid packages, proposal analysis, and development of contracts. Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals. Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements. Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports. Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes. Provides oversight regarding negotiation processes and related tools. Manages, develops and motivates employees. This position is for a first line leader within Boeing Global Services (BGS) Supplier Management that will be responsible to build and lead a diverse team responsible for complex high volume commodities. The ideal candidate for this position will possess in-depth knowledge and experience with procurement of complex Build-to-Print (BTP) commodities for in production components, and the capability to lead in a dynamic and fast paced environment. This leader will also be responsible to ensure processes are streamlined to enable flexible and agile procurement to support the BGS business in a competitive and global marketplace. You will need strong business acumen, communication and problem solving skills to build and enhance relationships with internal stakeholders and key external suppliers. Your team will perform activities related to managing our supplier/subcontractor business relationships, by driving performance of contractual obligations and expectations. You will develop strategies to ensure integration with customer, category, commodity and program priorities. You will develop processes and metrics to proactively manage supplier performance, including providing visibility to internal stakeholders. Position Responsibilities: Lead a diverse team of Supplier Management professionals performing activities related to the acquisition of goods and services in support of BGS customers and operations. Ensure organizational, business and technical strategies goals and objectives align with business and customer vision/strategy. Meet cost savings/affordability targets, measure progress to plan. Develop and execute organizational strategies that accelerate growth, reduce cost, and improve supply base performance. Establish partnerships and relationships with internal and external customers, stakeholders, peers, and direct reports. Builds strategic partnerships with suppliers and/or organizations to advance Boeing's position. Build and develop an empowered team through coaching and mentoring, and provide developmental opportunities and job assignments to enhance employee performance and expand capabilities. Inspire a culture and create an environment where diverse, high-performing and engaged team members can excel and flourish. Champion a culture of communication that conveys organizational messages to facilitate the accomplishment of workgroup, project or process goals. Proactively communicate with employees, peers, customer and stakeholders, keeps others informed. This position is located in a location that does not offer relocation.
