Job Summary

The Capital Planning team within Apple’s Information Systems & Technology (IS&T) organization is responsible for defining and leading the annual Capital Planning cycle. These processes govern how projects are defined, scoped, budgeted, tracked, and approved. We are seeking an ambitious and motivated professional to join this team as a Process Architect who will investigate, understand, and assess IS&T’s Procure-to-Pay (P2P) process, which is tightly coupled with Capital Planning. This includes identifying gaps in process, system, and data across the P2P process and information systems, and then working with the necessary upstream and downstream functional and technical teams to improve P2P. In addition to P2P, this role will also spend time with other members of the Capital Planning team on areas such as modifying the Capital Planning process to incorporate key learnings from the P2P analysis, improving the usability and functionality in the Capital Planning technical toolset, and enhancing D2P (Apple’s project delivery methodology).

Key Qualifications

  • Experience in managing or performing Procure-to-Pay functional and financialprocesses
  • Experience in an analytical or quantitative role in the Accounting, Finance, and / or Procurement business processes
  • Ability to create process flows for various functional and business processes Experience in software application design, development, testing, and deployment
  • Experience in facilitating workshops and brainstorming sessions to gather process data
  • Basic knowledge of information systems interface and integration
  • Knowledge of and demonstrated experience in project management principles, including management of scope, timeline, schedule, and resources
  • Effective communicator with proven success at all levels of business
  • Sound interpersonal and communications skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft and Apple office applications and basic project planning tools
  • Strong leadership qualities and ability to influence others
  • Act independently to determine methods and procedures on new assignments
  • Experience in reporting, data mining, and ad hoc analysis
  • Experience in an IT SDLC (software development life cycle) process would be an advantage

Education

Bachelors degree in a business or technical field Project Management certification is an advantage

Additional Requirements

3+ years detailed experience in the P2P process 5+ years of general experience in Finance, Accounting, and / or Procurement business processes
