Indium phosphide (InP) is a binary semiconductor composed of indium and phosphorus. It has a face-centered cubic ("zincblende") crystal structure, identical to that of GaAs and most of the III-V semiconductors.
This individual will be the technical point of contact for all InP work. He/She will work very closely with another individual who is very skilled in InP. Ideally this individual must be very InP ?epi growth? centric as the individual who he/she will be working with is more savvy on the InP device end.
Other key areas: MOCVD
Strong interpersonal skills
The Process Specialist serves the following key functions as a member of the plc Technology Group:
Define and design of best in class epi processes for in the area of InP growth.
Management of cross-site processes and epitaxial recipes to ensure alignment
Review and management to ensure cross-site control plans and alignment of recipes.
Establishment and management of manufacturing specifications ensuring that customer and site requirements are met. The specifications must be achievable/manufacturable and must ensure that customer product requirements are met.
Closely collaborate with local site process engineering teams and product/technology managers to establish golden processes and recipes.
Support the Group as required for customer queries, complaints, etc.
Support local sites in troubleshooting process problems.
MS or Ph.D. in science or engineering
Direct, hands-on epitaxial engineering experience in either MOVPE and or MBE
Firm, fundamental understanding of III-V semiconductor growth
Working understanding of the theory of semiconductor device operation relevant to focus area(s)
Fluent understanding of how growth impacts device performance.
Firm understanding of MBE and MOVPE equipment.
