As a team member of the Business Transformation (BT) group, you will support the company’s execution of large cross-functional projects. You’ll get the opportunity to work with Organization Unit (OU) teams to identify when process re-design with fully enabled digital solutions such as Robotic Process Automation (RPA), Data Analytics and Mobile Solutions can be used to achieve state of the art process improvement. The BT team will work in close alignment with our Business Planning, Digital Accelerator, and Operational Finance teams to align use cases with highest priority business opportunities.

Get ready… that's not all. The roles within the BT team will re-engineer core business processes using zero-based design and lean concepts to fully enable them for digital applications. These positions will provide an individual the opportunity to consult and work directly alongside various Director and Principal Manager Positions across SCE on a regular basis. Team members will have a broad understanding of leansix sigma practices, design thinking, project management, and organizational change management. This team will have the responsibility of working collaboratively with other groups across all of SCE and lead cross-functional teams from various departments.

Detailed stuff you’ll be doing …

  • You will interface and partner with stakeholders and external experts to set the strategy
  • You will also lead the E2E process redesign leveraging digital transformation capabilities
  • You'll provide an iterative method to experiment with new technologies using a ‘test & learn’ approach
  • Additionally you will decide which processes to be implemented and sets a clear vision for the process
  • You will also work to maximize return on investment by identifying and prioritizing the process features by business value
  • Implement streamlined automated processes to improve speed and delivery of work

Qualifications you need …

Throughout your career, you’ve shown yourself as providing strategic thought leadership and demonstrated experience driving innovation and change to the point that you’ve grown into a cross functional leader in business process improvement, digital design and automation. You’re most likely to deliver high-impact process improvements, and have been for the last 7 years, at least. The real essence of your professional life thus far has been inspiring change and leading transformation initiatives, and you can share projects to prove it.

Other qualifications that will set you up for success …

  • Technical Master’s degree (e.g., operations research, computer science, engineering, economics/finance) or equivalent work experience in a consulting role (2-3 years) Desired.
  • Experience providing strategic thought leadership and demonstrated experience driving innovation and change
  • Experience in outcome-oriented transformation
  • Experience being comfortable operating in an agile development environment and making strong judgment calls based on the information and alternatives available, leaning on internal and external subject matter experts when needed
  • Demonstrated experience introducing new and innovative technologies that enable improved business performance across a variety of functions including client facing business processes and back office business processes
  • Demonstrated strong negotiation and partnership skills
  • Experience leading a team and driving excellent performance and employee satisfaction
  • You will have a LSS Green Belt or Black Belt – Lean Sensei level or similar certification from a recognized company or institution.
