For projects of every scale, we provide design, engineering, construction, commissioning, and maintenance services that support a facility's entire life cycle.

On a high-level, you will be joining us to develop life-changing and in many cases life-saving process solutions for our clients. This includes but is not limited to:

· Developing process flow diagrams to define heat and material balance

· Senior-level contributor to process areas and design teams

· Establishing a process design basis, developing process options and optimization of selected design

· Designing and creating Process & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs)

  • Preparing bid and purchase specifications for processing equipment (e.g. chromatography columns, pressure vessels, bioreactors, filtration skids)
  • Calculating loads for Clean Utilities, line sizing, and distribution design (e.g. water for injection, clean steam, process gases)
  • Participating in planning, cost development, and scheduling for assigned project
  • Maintaining effective communication with project team members and with the customer
  • Calculating and organizing data for other Jacobs disciplines, such as instrument data for I&C or electrical loadings
  • Coaching and support for entry-level process engineers


  • Candidates should be self-motivated professionals, eager to make an impact
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, decision making capabilities, problem resolution skills, and a sense of initiative are important for this industry
  • Microsoft Office experience required
  • 10-20 years of experience required
  • BS or MS in chemical/mechanical/bio engineering required
  • Experience in SmartPlant P&IDs is preferred
