Job Description

Position Summary

The Process Engineer is responsible for the design and development of thin film PV modules in an R&D environment. Utilizing feedback from the CTO and other technical team members, the Process Engineer will apply advanced engineering concepts to develop, optimize, and evaluate cutting-edge thin-film PV devices.

Responsibilities/Duties

  • Assist senior device engineer in the development of thin-film PV devices
  • Develop deposition procedures
  • Perform basic laboratory maintenance
  • Perform quality control tests and design protocols
  • Maintain a safe working environment within the company's labs
  • Report all R&D findings to the CTO on a weekly basis

Required Skills

Abilities

  • Stand for long periods of time performing laboratory bench work
  • Ability to perform data processing in timely fashion and report in presentation format
  • Exemplify team work and strong work ethic

Required Experience

  • MS in physical sciences or engineering with expertise in vacuum thin film deposition such as thermal evaporation, PVD, ALD, sputtering, e-beam, MBE, amongst others
  • A minimum of five years of experience working in an R&D environment
