Job Description

Our client company is a global food manufacturer dedicated to improved nutrition and lower environmental impact. This Process Engineer position requires fermentation and validation experience along with the ability to travel50% of the time. They offer an excellent compensation, bonus and full relocation package.

 

Responsibilities of the Process Engineer with fermentation:

  • Process improvement, troubleshooting, fermentation and validation support of the PSM program
  • Process improvement, quality tracking, root cause failure analyses for external toll manufacturing facilities
  • Lead global projects
  • Initiate project management and arrange rules/tools
  • Oversee and maintain Minor Capital Program
  • Organize training for hand-off of new processes or technologies
  • Set up performance management standards
  • Monitor cost management
  • Travel50% of the time

Education:   4-yeardegreerequired in Biochemical or Chemical engineering or related bio-technical degree. Advanced degree is a plus.

 

Required Skills of the Process Engineer with fermentation:

  • 2+ years of process engineeringexperience in bio-tech, pharmaceuticals, or food and beverage
  • Fermentation
  • Validation (equipment, cleaning, process, etc.)
  • Food/pharmaceutical plant design (equipment selection, efficient layouts)
  • Process design expertise (equipment sizing, heat loads, etc.)
  • Safety, Food Safety, Environmental, GMPs, HACCP, ISO9001, ISO22
  • Ability to participate in and lead a design team
  • Strong customer interface experience
  • Ability to travel50% of the time
