DescriptionPosition Summary:

Provides overall representation and leadership around a specific business process or processes and its related data and business system software components. Works closely with business leadership and Information Systems resources to implement, maintain and

enhance process, data and business system capabilities. Liaison between business and IS. Coordinates with other Process and Data Leads

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Identifies and understands business requirements and translates the requirements into implemented business system software functionality

• Benchmark similar processes and utilize/share best practices

• Responsible for working with business representatives to build and maintain process documentation (e.g., As Is, To Be, etc.)

• Identifies and recommends policy and procedure changes required to support new business processes

• Identify process handoffs to other process areas and work with them to develop seamless transition of ownership and identification

• Develops software configuration design and works with technical team members to oversee configuration execution

• Data migration and ownership – map to overall enterprise data model

• Works with technical resources to develop software proof of concept

• Responsible for resolving software functionality gaps

• Works with business representatives to design functional specifications (e.g., reports, interfaces, data conversion programs, enhancements, etc.)

• Provides business input to testing approach, materials and execution

• Responsible for leading user acceptance testing activities

• Responsible for preparing business-perspective go/no-go evaluations for new functionality

• Provides formal and informal end-user support and training

• Go Live and ongoing business process support

• Provides input and perspective around business continuity requirements

• To-Be Process and Data Design and maintenance aligned with business system software capabilities

• Establish and monitor data quality and governance processes

• Liaison between business and IS

• Coordinates with the change management system

RequirementsEducation and/or Work Experience Requirements:


• College or university degree typically required or equivalent work experience that has provided significant business experience in a major area of a manufacturing or other related organization

• Understanding of business process and supporting data

• Deep functional understanding of business systems related to LOB functional areas and cross functional processes

• Leadership / management skills

• Strong communication ability

• Identify broad impacts to changes made to specific business processes and business systems


•General knowledge of the following SAP functions:

i. Quality Management (QM)

ii. Shop Floor Integration (SFI)

iii. Engineering BOM/Manufacturing BOM (EBOM/MBOM)

•Direct knowledge of one or more of the following SAP Sub-Modules of Production Planning in ECC version 6.0:

i. Bills of Material (BOM)

  1. BOM Management

  2. VC BOM Management

  3. Production Resource Tools

ii. Routing

  1. Routing Management

  2. VC Routing Management

iii. Work Centers

Working Conditions and/or Physical Requirements:

• Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.

• Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
