Process Control Engineer
PL Varies Depending Upon Experience
Job Description: Work within the Process Control Engineering group, which consists of on-site contract engineers. The Mill currently has an active multi-year capital project package to replace obsolete ABB MOD300, Siemens APACS, and Rockwell PLC-based control systems in all areas. This is an excellent opportunity to participate in the design and installation of a current technology system to allow reliable control system performance for the next 20years.
Job responsibilities include:
-Provide process control engineering, system integration and programming expertise and leadership for initiatives including new applications, optimization, troubleshooting, and routine maintenance.
-Provide capital project management and technical direction to support process control systems evolution projects, as well as other projects in the facility plan requiring control system support.
-Provide technical leadership and direction for contractengineering resources on the Process Control Engineering team, including site staffingcontracts for Control Systems maintenance and support, QCS system site service, and various capital project activities.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
1.Min of 5 years of Process Controls expereince.
2.Prefer 10+ years in an engineering position in a fully integrated pulp and paper mill, or the equivalent experience level in a related continuous process industry.
3.Qualified candidate will have a functional knowledge of Ethernetnetworking and Server/Client computing concepts, and control system design, installation, commissioning and troubleshootingexperience for one or more of the following systems: (indicate all you have experience with)
a. ABB 800XA
b. ABB QCS
- Valmet QCS
- Siemens-Moore APACS+
- OSI/PI Systems
- Rockwell Plant PAX,
- FactoryTalk View
4.Bachelor of Science in related engineering field such as Electrical, Chemical, or Control Systems Engineering.
