This position is responsible for developing and managing a portfolio of commercial and personal client relationships including the sale of appropriate Bank products and the making of referrals to other areas of the Bank.
Essential Job Duties
Develops new client relationships, retain existing client relationships. Meets with prospective and existing clients at their places of business or wherever convenient to the client to determine their needs, sell our products & services, sign documents, and to service the client’s existing banking needs.
Networks with COI’s at their offices and community functions to develop new business referral sources. Makes referrals to other areas of the Bank.
Manages the credit and banking needs of prospective and existing clients: performs credit analysis to determine the credit worthiness, approves loans within the PUB lending guidelines and procedures, determines and implements appropriate internal credit quality ratings and coordinates with the Credit Department on large loan credit underwriting.
Manages and maintain appropriate records including updating the client’s Credit File where appropriate and reporting to Bank management on Credit Quality.
Stays abreast of relevant Bank policies and procedures by attending regular training sessions (i.e. Compliance, Bank Secrecy Act, etc). Develops and maintains updated knowledge on regulations and economic factors that impact the industries in which the Division operates.
Adheres to compliance procedures and internal/operational risk controls in accordance with any and all applicable regulatory standards, requirements, and policies.
College degree or equivalent experience required.
5-8 years relevant experience.
Additional Job Requirements:
Experience in banking, commercial lending, credit or other financial background.
Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills are needed to communicate effectively with a wide range of internal and external contacts.
Superior relationship development skills.
Excellent PC skills, including word processing, spreadsheets, internet and industry specific software.
Proven ability to handle sensitive situations using excellent interpersonal, negotiating and problem solving skills.
Strong research and analytical skills are needed.
