The Principle Process Engineer position is required to drive continuous improvement projects and implement Lean concepts in the Taunton manufacturing facility. This individual will manage the Taunton Continuous Improvement group that consists of two employees. Managing this group includes responsibility for managing shop floor control and the synthesis training activities. Shop floor control activities include the coordination of documentation and materials needed to produce our products. This activity will require modifications to our current system as we move toward an electronic paperless system. The synthesis training program is an evolving effort to build the tools and content to train our synthesis operators to make our products safely and to the highest quality standards. This individual will continue to manage the development of content to produce best training practices.
The ideal candidate will have a solid background in LEAN principles and experience implementing LEAN tools in a manufacturing environment.
This individual will also work very close with the chemical engineering group and other personnel to assist with the development of a new Chemical facility.
Examples of continuous improvement activities include projects that are designed to reduce cycle time, material usage, costs, and increase capacity. This includes investigating new processing technology for process improvement.
In summary, the Principle Process Engineer position requires an individual with excellent technical, business, LEAN, and leadership skills. This role requires a good deal of multi-tasking across many different disciplines within the Taunton facility.
