The ideal candidate will have a solid background in LEAN principles and experience implementing LEAN tools in a manufacturing environment.
This individual will also work very close with the chemical engineering group and other personnel to assist withthe development of a new Chemical facility.
Examples of continuous improvement activities include projects that are designed to reduce cycle time, material usage, costs, and increase capacity. This includes investigating new processing technology for process improvement.
In summary, the Principle Process Engineer position requires an individual with excellent technical, business, LEAN, and leadership skills. This role requires a good deal of multi-tasking across many different disciplines within the Taunton facility.
Develop continuous improvement projects that are designed to reduce cycle time, material usage, reduce costs, and increase capacity. This includes investigating new processing technology that will provide benefits for the new Taunton Synthesis Facility.
Develop and implement Lean tools and principles into the Taunton plant.
Manage the Shop Floor Control system and evolve this function as we move toward an electronic system.
Manage the Synthesis Training function to create content and methods for best practices.
Assist with the design of the new Synthesis Facility.
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering and 7+ years' of experience in a manufacturing engineering environment required; MBA with 5+ years' of experience in a manufacturing engineering environment preferred
- Demonstrated ability to implement LEAN manufacturing principles.
- Fundamental understanding of engineering and LEAN principles. Ability to study complex manufacturing processes and develop programs to reduce wasteful practices.
- Complex level of troubleshooting and strong ability to multi-task. Ability to understand business principles as they relate to manufacturing (i.e. Finance, Capacity, Operations Management, etc.)
