Minimum qualifications:

  • Experience with System/Product architecture/design.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to influence executives and technical partners.

Our Trust and Safety team has the critical responsibility of protecting Google's users by ensuring online safety by fighting web abuse and fraud across Google products like Search, Maps, Google Ads and AdSense. On this team, you're a big-picture thinker and strategic leader. The Google Cloud Trust and Safety team works to protect users on the Google Cloud Platform. In this role, you'll get exposure to a wide-range of issues, ranging from impersonation and phishing apps to network attacks (DDoS, intrusion attempts, etc.).

In this role, you'll have the critical responsibility of scaling overall operations efficiently and effectively in a dynamic, high-visibility, and fast-growing ecosystem. You'll leverage operations research, deep dive investigations, data science, AI, natural language processing, and other technologies to drive strategy, execution and automation across the larger organization.

The Trust and Safety team reduces risk and protects the experience of our users and business partners in more than 40 languages and across Google's expanding base of products. We work with a variety of teams from Engineering to Legal, Public Policy and Sales Engineering to set policies and combat fraud and abuse in a scalable way, often with an eye to finding industry-wide solutions. Trust and Safety team members are motivated to find innovative solutions, and use technical know-how, user insights and proactive communication to pursue the highest possible quality and safety standards for users across Google products.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Trust and Safety Google Cloud System Intelligence team and drive strategic initiatives in the areas of operational excellence and automation. Coach and mentor individual contributor teams to deliver exceptional business results.
  • Lead multiple strategic bets, leveraging operations research concepts, process automation and Machine Learning.
  • Work collaboratively and cross-functionally with Operations, Product, Sales, Support and Engineering teams toensure coordination and alignment on objectives and key results.
  • Deliver thought leadership and impact as part of the broader Trust and Safety Google Cloud leadership team.
  • Measure impact and establish metrics for programs that focus on harder-to-measure intangibles and use this data to make informed decisions on subsequent actions.
