Under general supervision, designs and implements a wide variety of Telehealth systems in testing, training and production health environments.
Provides specialty Telehealth server workstation, peripheral, and medical device hardware and software support to internal and external customers. Integrates and deploys production servers and workstations into remote organizations’ infrastructure. Builds, configures and manages all development/test Telehealth servers and workstations.
Installs operating systems, both internal and third party software applications. Implements security systems, solutions and procedures for development, test and staging servers and clients. Tests, analyzes, implements and documents secure configuration solutions into the build, deployment, upgrade and maintenance processes for Telehealth servers and workstations. Manages license requirements and configuration for hardware and software.
In conjunction with management, designs, develops and implements training plans and processes to ensure Telehealth Systems Integration staff competency and depth of coverage on full spectrum of Telehealth and domain-related tasks. Provides technical assistance and mentoring to AFHCAN’s staff and remote organizations. Collaborates with outside organization IT staff and/or vendors to resolve hardware or software issues.
Analyzes system functionality, protocols, peripherals and security. Identifies and resolves problems; assures proper integration with other systems. Evaluates trends and recommends operational, procedural, technical and policy improvements to management to ensure compliance with HIPAA standards and FDA requirements
Designs and builds and deploys server and multi-client supportprocessesin conjunction with software and hardware product development. Manages system upgrades and continually monitors all AFHCAN production Telehealth servers for performance, business continuity, disaster discovery and security.
Provides technical training and assists in the development of training materials related to the installation, configuration or management of Telehealth servers and workstations.

MINIMUM EDUCATION QUALIFICATION
A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Technology (IT) or related field.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATION
Non-supervisory - Seven (7) years of Information Technology experience. An equivalent combination of relevant education and/or training may be substituted for experience.
PREFERRED CERTIFICATION QUALIFICATION
Current Microsoft, Cisco, or other relevant certification is desirable.
May be required to work outside the traditional work schedule. May be called out to work off-shift in emergency situations. According to the needs of the organization, some incumbents in this job class may be required to obtain specific technical certifications and programming language skills.
MINIMUM PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
The following demands are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This position requires persistent repetitive movements of the hands, wrists and fingers and the ability to sit for long periods of time. Must be able to lift approximately 70 pounds. Requires travel to remote locations by boat, snowmobile, ATV or small plane. May be exposed to extreme weather conditions.
