The team at Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) is looking for you to joinour team as a Principal/Senior Principal Systems Engineer, Requirement & Verification Database Lead based out of Redondo Beach, CA.

What you'll get to do:


The Ground Segment (GS) Requirement & Verification (R&V) Systems Engineering (SE) Database Lead is responsible for leading the requirements process and managing the DOORS database for requirement, interface, and verification definition of the GS. The database lead will develop DOORS DXL scripts for requirements and verification metrics reports. The database lead will support the R&V team as a SE to define, update, and manage GS specifications, and ICDs in DOORS. During the verification execution phase, the database SE assists the GS team in the development of verification reports and manages the verification process using verification metrics. The R&V database SE will participate in an Agile Scrum process for the GS team.

This position is contingent upon proposal award.

Qualifications

This requisition may be filled at either the Principal Systems Engineer or Senior Principal Systems Engineer level.

Basic Qualifications for a Principal Systems Engineer:

  • 5 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM discipline; 3 years of relevant experience with a Masters' degree; 0 years of relevant experience with a PhD.
  • Active DOD Top Secret clearance with the ability to obtain SCI access.

Basic Qualifications for a Senior Principal Systems Engineer:

  • 9 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM discipline; 7 years of relevant experience with a Masters' degree; 4 years of relevant experience with a PhD.
  • Active DOD Top Secret clearance with the ability to obtain SCI access.

These qualifications would be nice to have:

  • Active SCI and/or SAP clearance.
  • DOORS book-boss/admin experience.
  • Ability to code DOORS DXL scripts.
  • Experience with Agile and DevOps.
  • Experience with software requirements and architecture (e.g. Model-Based System Engineering).
