As a Principal Security Engineer you will be a senior technical leader in the organization, focused on keeping infrastructure secure and driving next-gen enterprise security strategies across the entire organization. Reporting directly to the VP and CISO you will support organization-wide delivery of security solutions and information protection capabilities. You will have the opportunity to apply your knowledge to design, build, and maintain scalable and sustainable products, devices, systems, and solutions.
What you’ll do
Act as a security technical Subject Matter Expert, influencing senior leaders across IT
Utilize depth and breadth of expertise across multiple security domains to define key security solutions
Work cross-functionally to understand strategic objectives for the business and technology to further business goals and execution on cybersecurity objectives
Analyze, design and create solutions for complex enterprise business problems using security tools, techniques, and practices that align with enterprise architecture principles
Provide informed advice and support to CISO and senior IT leadership for security risk and technical capabilities
Act as senior thought leader for security team to develop and improve security operations and design of solutions to protect computer systems, networks and information assets
What you’ll bring
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field
12 years’ experience in IT security analysis and engineering, and a current CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional) certification or the ability to obtain one
Ability to assess organizational security capabilities and apply a capability maturity model against a risk management framework to optimize services, automate requirements where possible, and close gaps using leading industry guidelines like NIST RMF, CIS (SANS) top 20, HITRUST, and Security Technical Implementation Guidelines (e.g. Microsoft, DISA, and Cloud Security Alliance)
Demonstrated proficiency and knowledge with network access, identity and access management, and access authentication methods
Demonstrated working knowledge and experience with network protocols such as (TCP/IP, UDP, DHCP, IPSEC, DNS, and HTTP) and cryptology and encryption algorithms (e.g., PGP, IPSEC, AES, GRE, IKE, SHA, TLS)
Strong background in network and security and tools, including CASB, IDS/IPS, NAC, DLP, VPN, VMWare, firewall audit, endpoint, anti-malware, database audit and monitoring, MSSP, and MDR
Competency in current and emerging software security development lifecycles like agile, angular, and SecDevOps
