Duties: Responsibilities include: Supporting verification and validation of top priority projects in the division's portfolio; leading programs by establishing project development plans and approving design documents that follow Health, Safety, and Environment processes; providing engineering guidance and using advanced engineering techniques to meet complex design criteria; developing custom equations and solutions using various engineering tools; enhancing communication and field test readiness between technology and operations to avoid unnecessary delay or hindrance of project progress; providing recommendations for test results and assisting with complex tests; reviewing and assessing appropriate standards, regulations, and specifications for testing and reliability analysis on projects and processes; providing consistent, measurable, and collaborative methodology with decision points at each stage of a technology development process to reevaluate if development efforts should continue; executing field testing of discovery and prototype tools working alongside the project team to identify and solve identified issues; assisting with the transition of products out of technology and into operations; delivering innovative Intellectual Property recommendations and reviewing technical papers; providing technical expertise to meet internal and external customer needs and requirements; promoting and contributing to a cohesive team environment and maintaining open lines of communication with all levels of the organization. Up to 50% domestic and international travelrequired.
Requirements: Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Engineering or related field and 7 years of work experience in job offered or 7 years' related experience in engineering verification and validation. In addition, must have 7 years' related experience in onshore and/or offshore oil and gas and 3 years of experience with each of the following:
1. Experience in the job planning and execution of directional wells using rotary steerable systems; performed technical engineering analysis such as torque and drag, BHA design and modeling, hydraulics, and well planning.
