Principal QA Engineer ( Can work remotely But must travel to Cupertino, CA as needed)
The Principal QA Engineer (Solution Integration) role is a unique hybrid of engineering and technical project management responsibilities. It requires a wide range of technical skills, solution design and a desire not just for what the answer is, but how things work and why. You'll have the opportunity to solve challenging technical problems, working on one side with core engineering teams and with the client engineering teams on the other.
The Principal QA Engineer (Solution Integration) is responsible for providing technical support to achieve client’s business objectives, driving innovation and initiatives through technical expertise, resolving technical issues impacting the team, and collaborating across multiple internal technical teams toward timely closure of all and any outstanding functional or non-functional gaps identified through the lifetime of the integration project.
Support clients’ integration with GreenDot Platform services representing core engineering teams either on client’s site or remotely, instrumental in design, implementation and testing of the end-to-end solution
Train and communicate technical topics to client’s engineering team on most effective practices in building solutions based on GreenDot Platform services
Actively collect and share client’s feedback and challenges with internal teams to ensure prioritization and timely resolution of any outstanding items potentially blocking project’s objectives
Provide the required daily support, maintenance, and troubleshooting of the technical integration.
Develop and maintain high standards in establishing procedures and policies to address routine jobs and certain resolution protocols. Meet or exceed SLA obligations consistently and on an ongoing basis, allow for accurate metrics to measure response time, and reduce the time needed to address hardware/software failures.
Provide On-call Escalation Support during critical periods including solution launch or other significant milestones
Assist in providing technical guidance and documentation, such as environment diagrams, installation/configuration documents and release notes as they relate to client’s integration with GreenDot Services.
Troubleshoot and debug environment and infrastructure problems found in the production and non-production environments.
5+ years of relevant experience
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent work experience
Experience with RESTful APIs
Experience in managing technical project requirements, project schedule and tracking risks from a technical perspective
Experience in working closely with external clients, managing expectations and providing regular updates and status reports
Working knowledge with Microsoft suite of applications, including clustering, SQL, .NET services and applications
Experience in systematic API testing working with automation tools such as ReadyAPI
Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve complex issues quickly and efficiently, including identification of bottlenecks, performance tuning, etc.
Solid understanding of the TCP/IP stack, Load Balancing and network switching.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Strong Working knowledge of High Availability, Business Continuity Planning, Disaster Recovery, and IT Security concepts as they relate to Systems architecture.
