We currently have an opening for Principal Project Manager. The qualified candidate will manage, direct, and oversee Capital Improvement Program (CIP) projects and provide staff augmentation services.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage the Capital Improvement Program projects from design to construction completion.
  • Monitor project's budgets and schedules.
  • Prepare Requests for Proposals (RFP) for professional services and negotiate contracts for design and construction management.
  • Coordinate with utility companies, other agencies, and act as City's representative.
  • Prepare the necessary staff reports and budget document.
  • Provide timely reviews of plans, specifications, and estimates (PS&E).
  • Coordinate evaluation of bids submitted by contractors.
  • Prepare City Council staff report for award of construction contract.
  • Provide general oversight of contract administration during project construction.
  • Coordinate project closeout activities, including as-builts, staff report, Notice of Completion, and release of retention.

Qualifications:
  • BS - civil engineering.
  • A minimum of 10 years' experience in project management and municipal engineering services.
  • Must have a valid certificate of registration as a Professional Civil Engineer in CA.
