Bigfoot is seeking a strategic and driven Principal Product Manager who has experience defining, building, and
launching world-class consumer health products. As a relentless advocate for the needs of end users, you will
develop and execute customer-focused product strategies via close collaboration with Commercial, User Experience,
Engineering, Regulatory, and Clinical leaders - and define, build, and launch Bigfoot's first products and services at the highest level of quality. You will ensure smooth transitions of the product through the development lifecycle, taking the product from concept definition through commercial launch and beyond.
Ideally you are a systems thinker and adept at synthesizing executive input, competitive intelligence, market and user research, and end-user/customer data to build amazing products that help transform the lives of people with insulin-requiring diabetes and also meet the goals of the business.
The ideal candidate possesses a combination of leadership, strong vision, excellent communication and collaboration, great instincts, technical capabilities, business savvy, and an inquisitive nature � where you are energized by collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders, leading groups to consensus, and influencing decision making.
You are a servant leader with a collaborative, mature, measured style, where your personal mission is aligned with the long-term vision of Bigfoot. Additionally, you thrive presenting to a leadership team, gaining trust and becoming the go-to leader for multiple cross-functional teams, advocating for end-user needs, and
mentoring junior staff to achieve the highest performance.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
*Products. Build and launch products that have a world class user experience and make a difference in customers�
*Leadership. Be a product leader developing strategic product vision in close collaboration with User
Experience, Clinical, Engineering, Regulatory, and Commercial Teams
*Product Portfolio Planning. Build the strategy for key products and services across various launch timeframes
*Go-to-Market. Collaborate with Commercial, Operations, and other functions to coordinate launch of all new
products and services to the market.
*Product Discovery. Leverage forward-thinking techniques to drive product discovery efforts to identify and
understand user needs, evaluate product concepts and prototypes, and ensure product market fit.
*Competition. Develop a strong understanding of the competitive landscape across the entire Bigfoot roadmap.
*Customers. Develop an in-depth, empathetic understanding of Bigfoot�s target customers and their
*Flexibility. Flex where needed, providing support for
clinical trials, usability testing, risk analysis, end-user
training activities, and a variety of other business
*Partners. Identify and develop strategic product partnerships to enable Bigfoot�s goals and product
strategy; as well as, identify and manage outside vendors to support product discovery, design, and development.
*Metrics. Define and own Key Performance Metrics in your areas of responsibility.
*Customer Success. Collaborate closely with the Customer Success team to ensure that customers are fully activated,
satisfied and supported throughout the lifecycle of the product.
Must haves we�re looking for:
*15+ years experience in product management, product marketing, or product development in healthcare, medical
technology, or high tech.
*Proven ability in upstream marketing, product discovery, product strategy, product development, and product
*Experience managing a complex, full-stack product platform. Proven ability to plan and operate at both the strategic and tactical / operational level.
*Excellent collaborator: experience successfully managing and building strong working relationships with cross-
functional colleagues and teams internally and externally with partner organizations.
*Proven leader and astute influencer. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
*Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization, as well as
with external parties.
*Entrepreneurial drive and demonstrated ability to flex across a variety of roles in an innovative, fast-paced, start-
*Proven ability to handle ambiguity.
*Demonstrated ability to collect data and derive actionable analysis on your own.
*Demonstrated ability to develop and run efficient, lean, iterative, and productive product discovery processes
We�d prefer if you also have:
*Experience in Class I/II/III medical devices.
*Strong diabetes disease state and diabetes product
*Product Management training from Silicon Valley Product Group/Marty Cagan.
*Experience working in an agile environment.
*BA/BS in engineering, business, life sciences, or related field.
*MBA or Masters in related field or equivalent
