CAREERS THAT CHANGE LIVESThis position will be part of a team responsible for the successful implementation of logistics, distribution, and transportation processes within the SAP ERP system.  This individual, as well as team members, will be accountable for all project life cycle phases – gathering business requirements and translating those into SAP functional specifications, solutions, and process designs, configuration of SAP modules, testing, training, deployment, and support of deployments post go-live.  Individuals will be required to align processes across business units and geographies, develop solutions to complex problems, communicate with numerous functional areas, and lead process development and improvement activities.  The position will provide detailed functional knowledge of SAP ECC, sales & distribution, logistics, and transportation processes as well as maintain insight into current industry best practices and distribution compliance and how they can be applied at Medtronic.

A DAY IN THE LIFE• Responsible as a Global IT organization lead BA for the successful configuration and implementation of SAP ECC, sales and distribution, logistics, and transportation processes.• One immediate responsibilities of this position will be to act as a lead Business Analyst on our Dangerous Goods Management System project – integrating a cloud classification tool with SAP Material Master and outbound delivery and transportation processes.• Design and implement business solutions supporting the strategic objectives of distribution operations, from receipt of product from vendors or manufacturing through distribution to customers.• Work independently with business partners to drive assessment of business requirements, match those to SAP solutions including standard SAP solutions or develop enhancements that will achieve the business goals.• Potentially lead multiple project team members throughout the systems development life cycle, including project definition, requirements gathering, design, development, test, and release for SAP implementations.• Manage issues associated with project interdependencies, cross-functional impacts, resource allocation, and change management. • Create project plans including cost estimates, timelines, milestones and progress tracking; inspire teamwork and responsibilities across project teams; hold team members accountable to schedules, budgets, and scope.• Develop solutions to complex challenges which require a high degree of ingenuity and innovation.  Ensure solutions are consistent with organization objectives.• Manage the expectations of the customer (i.e. balance must haves with nice to haves), educate as appropriate, effectively negotiate with others to reach a shared understanding or agreement.• Develop, review, and approve functional specifications, release notes, and training materials.• Facilitate unit testing, user acceptance testing, and integration testing of developed components.• Assist in implementing technical and process best practices.• Advocate program vision to project teams, key business stakeholders, and executive leadership.   Ensure continued business sponsorship, engagement and commitment.• Represent Global IT as a primary contact for specific projects and initiatives; communicate with internal and external customers and vendors at various levels.• Effectively facilitate small to large group discussions and action plans.• Provide technical and analytical guidance to project team, in support of issue and risk resolutions.  • Partner with deployment leadership to provide change management communications.• Learn and apply the MSCM Medtronic System Compliance Methodology to ensure this methodology is used and proper validation procedures are applied for all implementations.• Exercise considerable latitude in determining assignment deliverables with limited oversight from manager.• Serve as a subject matter expert to other IT groups and cross-functional teams.• Coach, review, and delegate work to contingent analysts and lower level professionals.

MUST HAVE - Minimum Requirements• Bachelor’s Degree• 7+ years of IT experience with a Bachelor's Degree or 5+ years of IT experience with an advanced degree• Minimum of 3 full lifecycle SAP deployments.• Extensive functional and SAP configuration experience with SAP ECC SD, MM, IM, WM, LE, TM modules.• Experience leading implementations of SAP ECC sales and distribution, logistics, or transportation initiatives.• Possesses or has ability to obtain a passport.

NICE TO HAVE• Extensive experience in international distribution and the U.S. and OUS required data, documentation, invoicing, global transportation, and dangerous goods compliance risks and regulations.• SAP configuration, implementation, and integration experience specifically with SAP TM or XPS transportation solutions.• Experience with SAP ECC master data setup, data migrations, and interdependencies for sales and distribution, logistics, and transportation initiatives specifically for the handling, packaging, labeling, and disclosures for dangerous goods.• Experience integrating SAP with cloud tools and bolt-on software solutions.• Considerable experience eliciting requirements, creating detailed and clear functional specifications, and testing SAP standard solutions and enhancements.• Experience using HP ALM testing tools and SAP Solution Manager document management and transport management applications.• Considerable experience developing training materials and delivering training to end-users.• Excellent leadership and team work skills, eager to share knowledge with fellow analysts and production support personnel.• Strong interpersonal, oral, presentation, and written communication skills.• Strong decision-making abilities and problem resolution skills with a strong sense of accountability.  Focused on improving productivity, profitability and business processes; delivering solutions on time and within budget.• Strong relationship building and negotiation skills.  Highly client and quality oriented.• Ability to manage customer expectations, communicate issues & status.• Track record of delivering on commitments (high quality, on budget, on time) during projects.• Strong prioritization skills.• Business Analyst Certification.• Ability to troubleshoot SAP issues and manage interactions with SAP support including researching and recommending OSS notes and creating and following up on incidents with SAP.
