Primary Responsibilities:
Responsible for identifying, designing, and executing business opportunities with Government stakeholders
Participates with senior management to identify and establish objectives, assignments, and goals in accordance with SAS strategic plans; assists in targeting specific clients and business partners to promote industry sales and marketing initiatives.
Responsible for success of analytics initiatives, programs or functions of assigned clients through continuous customer engagement
Provides support to help SAS maximize available funding for assigned projects to support and drive revenue growth.
Build customer references and support strategic opportunity growth through project expansion and identification of new sales opportunities.
Builds credibility and trusted advisor relationship with clients including policymakers, decisionmakers, operational management, and end users.
Facilitate the delivery of solution value to the customer, facilitating customer preparedness, training, deployment and value/ROI measurement.
Provides consultation to assist in the management of expectations and deliverables.
Provides guidance and insight to internal and external stakeholders to develop quality solutions to
help drive customer mission.
Stays abreast of targeted grant opportunities and help guide the state of Texas agencies on potential matches that may assist them in their endeavors.
Prepares and delivers presentations to clients at the highest levels of government and partner networks.
Works closely with sales staff, sales management, and marketing staff to ensure successful positioning of industry solutions and that a consistent message is communicated to our clients and/or business partners.
Identifies competitor advances in the market.
Assists with providing market-driven information for future product direction using industry expertise and direct interaction with clients, prospects, analysts, and other external resources.
Builds credibility and trusted advisor relationship with clients including high level influencers, policymakers and decision-makers.
Performs other duties, as assigned.
Essential Requirements:
Bachelors’ Degree, preferably in Public Administration, Business, Computer Science, MIS, Engineering, Analytics, or related discipline. Masters, Graduate or Doctorate degrees are considerable plus.
10 (or more) years of experience working with Texas government, experience facilitating large programs with multi-agency or multi-entity coordination or supporting sales efforts for complex integrated systems.
Experience presenting to government leaders and/or elected officials.
Experience working with sales, product, program and project management.
