This position will have the primary responsibility for leading the technical architecture, analysis, design, and integration activities for electro-software, digital, and IoT systems with focus on new, full life-cycle product design & development. Individuals will work closely with, and learn from, Marketing, Product Management, Project Management, Supply Management, and other Engineering functions with a diverse set of backgrounds. They will also work with Otis external partners (customers and suppliers) to transition new ideas and technologies from the exploration phase to product development.
The successful candidate will be able to:
BA/BS degree w/10+ years’ experience
MA/MS degree w/7+ years’ experience
Strong expertise on large and complex systems with electro-mechanical, embedded software or IoT content.
Proven, hands-on experience with systems architecting process including needs analysis, functional decomposition, requirements development, and validation.
Experience with developing electrical or software architectures to meet performance and cost requirements.
Ability to analyze functional requirements and allocation to meet product deliverables and constraints.
Experience with performing or leading alternatives analysis to support critical decision making for product and system designs.
Proven experience with Doors NG, SysML, Cameo, and related systems architecting and engineering tools
Familiarity with Agile, Model-Based Systems Engineering, and Model-Based Design is a plus.
Strong interpersonal skills with collaboration in a dynamic team environment.
Ability to work individually and in a team
Proven ability to work with various teams, key stakeholders, and customers to meet commitments
Strong analytical and logical reasoning skills
