This position deals with non-commercial and commercial hardware and provides scalable solutions to critical missions and data types as required by contract requirements. Work will also include definition of system requirements, engineering trades and analyses, and verification and validation activities as directed by customer change requests and ongoing corrective actions to existing radar, data and signal processing, and user interface equipment. The preferred candidate will have experience of radar and varied computing systems, should be able to work and function in a dynamic environment where requirements can change according to the customer needs.

In addition, the candidate must be a team player, able to work comfortably and effectively with company team members as well as program stakeholders and DoD contractor senior personnel. The candidate will be required to support technical interchange meetings, on-site technical support, and event support.

Electrical Engineer's primary responsibilities are to:

  • Participate on a design and development engineering team for major system modernization activities
  • Provide engineering support to depot level maintenance actions on PARCS radar system
  • Perform periodic and corrective actions on PARCS radars systems IAW with Air Force Technical Order and Depot Level procedures
  • Provide engineering support for preventative maintenance actions on assigned radars IAW with Air Force Technical Order and Depot Level procedures
  • Work within an Integrated Product Team to restore critical radar functionality
  • Support electrical and RF modifications to existing system infrastructure
  • Participate with Requirements development, including decomposition, allocation, and provide recommended verification/validation methods
  • Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses
  • Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into systems solutions that acknowledge technical constraints
  • Performs functional analysis, detailed studies, interface definition to translate system requirements into subsystem specifications
  • Develop associated product lists, drawings, architectural views, models, and system documentation; documentation development plan
  • Utilizing a variety of tools to support engineering activities, routine maintenance corrective actions, hardware-related emergency/urgent maintenance and respond to anomalies
  • Validate serviceability of hardware and software at contractor and government facilities.
  • Supporting the integration, installation, test and documentation of new and/or modified capabilities into the system
  • Providing leadership and mentoring in addition to being an individual performer


Basic Qualifications:

  • Design, modeling, and verification of electronic subsystem assemblies
  • U.S. Citizenship required
  • Active Secret clearance
  • 10% travel
  • 5 Years with Bachelors in Science; 3 Years with Masters; 0 Years with PhD

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Phased-array radar performance related to beam steering calculation & real-time digital control
  • Data processor to sensor I/O
  • Radar return formatting (data conditioning)
  • Component selection and modeling for performance prediction in the following areas: digital data processing, programmable logic devices, digital clocks, switching technology
  • Typical Ethernet network design
  • Custom routing at OSI Layer 6
  • Extensive experience with radars and other MASINT systems
  • Experience in the following areas:
  • Design involving commercial devices such as PLD
  • High power electronics
  • Interface design and standards
  • PCB/PWB design and packaging
  • RF survivability design, analysis, and testing
  • Requirements tracking systems such as DOORS
  • Model Based Engineering
