Hire Resources LLC is seeking a Principal Electronics Engineer for one of our top clients in Wilmington, MA

Position Summary:

We have an opportunity for a Principal Electronics Engineer responsible for the integration, design, support, and maintenance of the Microwave and Ozone product lines within client company. The candidate should be able to operate independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced, dynamic, highly technical environment and work on cross-functional projects. The successful candidate will be highly self-motivated and have experience driving a team to successful product introductions.

Position Details:

  • Drive a small technical team responsible for the design, modeling, test, and packaging of Microwave and Ozone systems
  • Experience driving a team through new production introductions and product development
  • Communicate effectively in both oral and written forms while interfacing with product engineering and other cross-functional teams as required
  • Be responsible for the design, documentation, test and release for manufacturing modular complex systems
  • Perform detailed design to meet industry and regulatory compliance requirements
  • Develop, document, and execute DVT plans. Report on results and recommend appropriate engineering tradeoffs to optimize functional performance, reliability, and product cost
  • Analyze and implement continuous improvements to systems for improvements in quality, reliability, and cost reduction
  • Collaborate with manufacturing and test engineering to develop acceptance test specifications
  • Design and set up test-benches, perform extensive and careful experiments, collect and analyze data, and implement proposed improvements
  • Use advanced knowledge of electrical engineering including; digital and analogcircuitry, embedded system design to successfully develop new products and sustain remaining portfolio.
  • Support the electrical safety and EMC testing required for product compliance certification


  • BSEE with 7+ years of experience in the design of electrical components or technical leadership. MSEE with 4+ years preferred
  • Ability to understand and manage tradeoffs between cost, performance and power density
  • Good writing skills (specifications, test reports, engineering analyses, etc.)
  • Excellent organizational skills a must
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment with purchasing, manufacturing engineering, etc
  • Experience with analog and digital design circuitry, proper test methodology, and system integration
  • Competency in the selection of waveguides, coaxial, impedance matching, VSWR calculations, and radiating elements
  • Familiar with schematic capture and PCBA layout packages. Preferably Mentor Graphics Package
  • Track record of successful new product releases, with experience in the entire product development process
  • Familiar with IEC, UL and EMC compliance testing and RoHS certification requirements is a plus
  • Strong technical communication (verbal, written, presentation) skills
  • Candidate must be self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $100,000.00 to $120,000.00 /year
