Under direct supervision, may provide support on Product Data Management System/manufacturing system related issues. May be responsible for coordinating the creation of Product Data Management System/manufacturing system material data for customers at multiple locations. May analyze and verify bill of material, design specification, and other technical engineering information for compliance to standards. May load and maintain engineering data base files from complex information contained in engineering job packets. May resolve related issues with technical team members. May make recommendations to improve and streamline work flow processes and standardization efforts. May serve as an advisor for image file creation using reproduction equipment and auto programs. May lead team efforts to assure the integrity, control and availability of documents are stored within the Product Data Management System and for the availability coordination and processing of Product Data Management System data to manufacturing systems. May provide support/guidance to Technology and Manufacturing to analyze data and resolve interface problems between PDM and manufacturing systems. Job tasks, correctly performed, impact indirectly on cost containment, efficiency, profitability or operations. Consequences of error are easily measured and can be confined. Skills are typically acquired through the completion of an undergraduate degree in Business Management or similar discipline and 8 years experience processing technical documentation associated with Manufacturing and/or Technology or 12 years of equivalent experience. APICS certification may be required.
