In this newly created position you will be a Champion for data-centric innovation relative to Robot-Assisted minimally invasive surgery. You will be responsible for providing strategic direction and driving realization of roadmap and resulting commercialization of data-centric solutions:


A Day in the Life

  • Create business strategy, innovative data monetization and business models and underlying business case to leverage data across peri-operative spectrum: data as a service, data as a product feature, data as a business
  • Perform market and competitive analysis and understand technology trends related to data-led innovations in the surgical domain
  • Drive the process of arriving at the 4Ps related to data-centric solutions and communication of value and benefits of data-centric innovation roadmap
  • Assess and prioritize multi-stakeholder (Internal MDT functions and External Hospital stakeholders) needs across the perioperative spectrum that can be addressed using data
  • Translate Needs into Requirements and Use Cases and ensure conformance to data privacy rules and regulations across all Medtronic Markets
  • Design and implement new or reengineer existing business and operational processes to integrate data and relevant metrics across the peri-operative spectrum and cover data collection, curation, storage, use, generation of reports and portals to satisfy multiple stakeholders
  • Work with R&D, Service, IT and other cross-functional functions to define and drive implementation of roadmap for data-centric features and data infrastructure to meet current, emerging and future needs
  • Implement a process to manage lifecycle management of data-centric solutions including bug-fixes, minor enhancements and major enhancements
  • Domestic and International travel 25%

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and 10+ years of experience in marketing, product management or product marketing in one or more of the following; Data Analytics, Software-as-a-Service or Software, or a Master's degree with 8+ years of experience
  • Upstream marketing experience including product development and product launch experience and marketing analysis and competitive analysis experience
  • Experience in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning Predictive Analytics

Nice to Have

  • MBA with an advanced engineering degree in Computer Science, AI, Robotics, Data Sciences or Statistics preferred
  • Healthcare informatics experience
  • Experience with driving and prioritizing requirements in a rapid prototyping and Agile development environment
  • Experience in strategic partnering with other enterprises to launch solutions
  • Ideal candidate will have both upstream and downstream marketing experience;
  • Proven success in bringing complex technologies to market;
  • Successful entrepreneurial experience a plus;
  • Competencies: Innovation Management, Dealing with Ambiguity, Drive for Results, Customer Focus, Building Effective Teams.Familiarity with global data privacy and regulatory requirements
  • Experience working with surgeon KOLs and C-level hospital administration functions
  • Knowledge of surgical OR and Peri-operative operations
