Team Background:

The Microsoft 365 Insights, Data Engineering and Analytics ( Microsoft 365 IDEAs) Team is building a Scorecard Analytics team that will focus on reporting, analysis, forecasting, and facilitating high bandwidth conversations across Office Engineering, Marketing, and Finance. Our specific charter is to own the Experience + Devices Product Group SLT, LT, and Subsidiary Scorecards. We will provide deep insights to drive action and success for the entire organization.


Role Background:

We are searching for an experienced data leader to focus on our Commercial Enterprise customers. This includes the ownership of all elements of reporting on business health across this customer base and our Sales Field reporting which is consumed by over 80,000 internal stakeholders.


This work includes:

  • Providing holistic, Microsoft 365- wide customer and business insights
  • Working with a wide array of audiences (Engineering, Marketing, Finance, Sales) and working in a consultative manner to provide insights and clear actions
  • Providing clear data/reporting to determine the current performance and future outlooks for our scorecard metrics
  • Providing actionable intelligence and analytics that will make our products and services better and grow our business.



Responsibilities:

  • Partner with specific functions of the Microsoft 365 Business, Engineering, Finance , and Sales
  • Work with these stakeholders to define clear signals of success, which translate into simple, easily understood metrics
  • Your team will be responsible for defining these data sets, working with our engineers to build these data sets, building reports, tracking progress and making recommendations across stakeholders for areas of improvement .
  • You will be the primary liaison for these stakeholders and will need an excellent ability to influence executive stakeholders
  • Lastly, success depends on having a common view of health across all internal audiences (Finance, Engineering, Marketing, Sales)



Qualifications:

  • Great people manager, communicator, and mentor
  • 10 + years hand on analytics experience with proven quantitative orientation
  • Ability to partner with executives across multiple disciplines to drive clarity and impact
  • Advanced working knowledge of large data manipulation and data mining using SQL
  • Exceptional problem solving, technical and data analysis skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment that promotes collaboration

Preferred Qualifications/Skills

  • Master or Bachelor's degree in Statistics/Math/Computer Science/Economics/Business or Engineering
  • Experience with Data Lake infrastructures (Cosmos, Hadoop) and access preferred
  • E xperience working as a consultant or an operations background are greatly valued
